This collection is a list of true touches of Plain Bob Major up to 400 changes in length. All the touches can be rotated (that is, started at any point) or reversed. Touches have been generally selected to avoid reversing the tenors and to avoid backstroke rows ending in 82 or 83 where possible. Touches containing singles have only been included when the length cannot be achieved otherwise, or when there are only a few without them.
The touches are given in standard notation. The calling positions refer to the position of the tenor. At Home (H) the tenor dodges 7-8 down, at Wrong (W) it dodges 7-8 up. At Middle (M) it dodges 5-6 down, at Fifths (V) it dodges 5-6 up. In the fourth's position (F) it makes fourth's place at a bob. At a Before (B) it runs out at a bob; at In (I) it runs in. A bob is shown by a dash (-) under the given column, or (x) where the call changes the length of the course. A single is shown as (S). When there are more than one consecutive calls in the same position, the number is given instead. The course-end is given at the end of each row, with the ending assumed to be 78, or 8 if the tenors are parted.
